THE TWO POLITICAL PARTIES ARE NOT THE SAME.

Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress have done a phenomenal job in bringing the U.S. economy back from the dark days of the pandemic, and have done so despite fierce Republican opposition. These accomplishments are largely due to President Biden's key initiatives, including:

​

• The American Rescue Plan

• The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

• The Inflation Reduction Act

• The Chips and Science Act. 

 

For example, as of February 2024:

​

• Inflation has been cut to 3%, down from a high of over 9% two years ago

  • The U.S. currently has the lowest inflation rate of any industrialized nation​

• Unemployment is at a 50-year low, 3.5%, partly because of:

  •   $435 billion in manufacturing and clean energy investment in the U.S.

  •   $400 billion for renewable energy projects

  •   Efforts to make the U.S a leader in the new international hydrogen economy

  •   Investment in renewable energy projects that create jobs AND help fight climate change

• Gross domestic product (GDP) is at a higher-than-expected 3.3% and a recession is now seen as highly unlikely

• The US economy is now regarded as stronger than that of any other industrialized nation.

 

In other areas, under President Biden:

​

• Veterans exposed to toxins have improved benefits

• The First Meaningful Gun Violence Reduction Legislation in 30 Years passed

• Marriage for LGBTQI+ and Interracial Couples is now protected

• Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and over 100 Federal Judges of Diverse Backgrounds were appointed

• There has been a sweeping crackdown on “junk fees” and overdraft charges

• 3.7 million Americans have had part or all of their crushing student debt forgiven despite strong Republican opposition

• Renewable power is the No. 2 source of electricity in the U.S. — and climbing

• The U.S. has led an international effort to help Ukraine fight back against Putin's naked aggression

• U.S. positions on the world stage are substantially improved

Taken all together, this record makes President Biden the most impactful president since FDR. And all of this has been accomplished despite non-stop opposition from Congressional Republicans who voted against virtually every accomplishment listed above. In contrast, with Republicans in control of the House, 2023 was one of the least productive Congressional sessions in our entire history, and 2024 looks to be even worse.
